Laser system for ANFF's South Australian node

A laser system from Kloe has been installed at the South Australian node of the Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF). ANFF SA identified that a high-quality rapid prototyping/lithography system was required to meet its business commitments and allow its diverse range of users to realise their design needs within a timely fashion.

The node had very specific requirements with respect to resolution and aspect ratio of the parts being fabricated within their facility. The equipment is primarily to be used for rapid prototyping microfluidic devices and preparing lithography masks, and must be capable of achieving the feature sizes requested by users of the facility.

The Kloe Dilase 650 was felt to offer the optimum solution to ANFF SA’s requirements. A team of installers and trainers from Kloe in Montpelier, France, and Raymax, Sydney, spent three days at the Ian Wark Research Institute at the University of South Australia, where the node is located.

Now installed in the class 100 clean rooms, the ANFF SA team is putting the Dilase 650 through its paces.
