Oral fluid drug testing device

Varian has announced an improved version of the OnSite OraLab oral fluid drug testing device. Featuring a proprietary detection methodology, the OraLab is more accurate and achieves lower detection limits for parent-THC than previous devices. OraLab is an extension of Varian''s drugs of abuse oral fluid testing product line that offers devices for both on-site and laboratory-based testing.

OraLab''s ''no mess'' design is simple and easy to administer. Its testing process is 100% observable and eliminates the need for special facilities or gender-specific staffing, which makes specimen tampering less likely. The OraLab''s expresser and single tube design allows collection and storage of sufficient saliva for both immediate screening and confirmation testing.

OraLab is used for pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing, as well as for court-mandated compliance. OraLab simultaneously screens for six drugs - amphetamine, opiates, cocaine, PCP, methamphetamine, and THC. It is also available in three-drug test panel for amphetamine, opiates and cocaine.
