The Vista-MPX inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometer (ICP-OES), can measure all 22 US EPA environmental elements (Method 200.7) in just five minutes per sample.

ICP-OES instruments measure the concentrations of up to 73 elements in almost any sample type. For instance, contract environmental laboratories serving governments, water authorities or federal regulators use ICP-OES to measure lead, cadmium and arsenic levels in soil or drinking water samples. Pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and chemical companies rely on ICP-OES for quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) analysis of raw materials, ingredients, and final products. The petroleum industry checks gasoline for lead and sulphur with ICP-OES, and clinical laboratories use the technique for measuring toxic elements or metals in blood or urine.
