Many of today’s Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) do not meet the requirements of this changing laboratory environment. Instead, modern, agile information systems that enable the lab to capture, share, analyse and act on vast amounts of detailed data will be required to run laboratories like a business. This is necessitating a new kind of system, which InterSystems calls a Laboratory Business Management System (LBMS). LBMS will help customers transform from a reactive testing and results service to a proactive healthcare partner.

This free regional launch event enables participants to see a practical demonstration of the world’s first Laboratory Business Management System (LBMS) and learn how labs can have visibility and assume control and accountability over the entire testing process. It will explore supporting consolidation to fewer labs with specialist services, and mutualised information, processes and businesses; reducing the cost and interruption of continuous modernisation; running a tighter business, with cost accountability for every test; adopting agile workflows that balance lab efficiencies with patient-centric service; and extending information and process governance outside of the lab.
