The JPK NanoWizard II atomic force microscope (AFM) represents the latest in AFM technology for life sciences. It is designed to maximise stability, performance, ease of handling with samples in fluid and for full integration with optical microscopy.

With German precision engineering and a pioneering spirit, the JPK established the BioAFM as a new class of instrumentation.

The NanoWizard II claims proven performance in almost every research field, from nanomanipulation to cell adhesion measurements, from surface chemistry to DNA high-resolution imaging, from bacteria to pharmaceuticals, from electrochemistry to polymer melting.

Key features include:

  • Fully compatible with fluorescence techniques such as TIRF, FRET, FCS, FRAP, FLIM, Ca2+ response and laser scanning microscopy;
  • Simultaneous use of phase contrast or DIC achieved with the cantilever tip scanning technique of the NanoWizard II;
  • Stability and zero drift;
  • Suitable for working with liquids as no sensitive parts are positioned below the sample level.
