The Emax is a ball mill for high-energy milling. The combination of high friction and impact results in very fine particles within a short amount of time.

The high-energy input is the result of a speed of 2000 min-1 and the innovative jar design. Due to the water cooling system, the high-energy input is effectively used for the grinding process without overheating the sample. The special grinding jar geometry means the sample is thoroughly mixed, which results in a narrow particle size distribution.

The product is capable of continuous grinding operation without interruptions for cooling down, reducing the grinding time. The high-energy input, in combination with the cooling system, provides suitable conditions for effective mechanical alloying or grinding down to the nanometre range.

Other advantages include: easy operation via touch screen, 10 SOPs storable; patented drive concept; a range of jar materials allowing for contamination-free grinding. A wealth of safety features - such as the integrated safety closure of the grinding jar, temperature control with automatic start/stop system and integrated imbalance controls - makes operation of the mill user-friendly.
