Grant bio’s UVT-B-AR is a benchtop cabinet for protection against contamination during a variety of laboratory DNA/RNA procedures. The product features UV surface irradiation via a single 25 W 254 nm open UV lamp which actively disinfects the working area, inactivating DNA/RNA fragments during 15-30 min of exposure.
The high-intensity UV cleaner-recirculator creates continuous air flow with 1 cm UV irradiation distance at 25 m3/h. The cabinet also features UV exposure control and a 24 h digital timer, enabling the user to spend less time watching the samples.
The white lamp provides local illumination of the workplace to optimise visual control during operations. Shockproof glass panels, a metal framework and a stainless steel work surface create a sturdy design. Other features include automatic switch-off of UV light when the door is opened and an integral power socket.
