Since GeneWorks began making Custom DNA Oligonucleotides in Adelaide in 1986, the Company has developed an enviable reputation for reliably high quality Customer Services.  Australian and independent, GeneWorks is proud of its place as a supplier and service provider to the science research community.  We aim to provide the highest possible level of service quality and customer support, working wtih customers to reach their goals.

With the installation of it's first Illumina Genome Analyzer system in 2007, GeneWorks has recently expanded its range of services to include Next Generation Genome Analysis Services (GAS).  This new and versatile technology will enable research groups in Australia and around the world to realise new research outcomes.

NextGen Sequencing on the Illumina Genome Analyzer

 The Illumina genome Analyzer technology (previously known as Solexa) has several features that make it an ideal choice for GeneWorks' customers.

• Low imput sample requirement
• Massively parallel sequencing, >3Gb per run, giving extreme, scalable sequencing depth
• Lost cost/base
• High accuracy sequence reads including through homopolymners
• Short (35b) reads ideal for deep re-sequencing, small RNA and tag sequencing
• Enabled for 50b+ reads for de novo sequencing and other applications
• Proven reliable performance in Genome Centres worldwide
• Paired-End and Mate-Pair read capability

The Genome Analyzer uses a Clonal Single Molecule Amplification^™ approach ('Cluster Generation) followed by sequencing by Synthesis.

Combined with developing range of sample preparation procedures, this allows sequence libraries to b generated for multitude of current and future research applications.
