Online rheometry comes of age
Rheology Solutions will be manufacturing an online rheometer developed by CSIRO Industrial Physics. The process control rheometer can be operated in an inline or online configuration and used to measure the viscoelastic properties of a process fluid in real time.

Rheological solution for petrochemicals
A comprehensive rheology portfolio for the petrochemical industry that enables analyses of crude oil through refined products such as bitumen is now available. A wide range of accessories for the Thermo Scientific rheometers is offered so customers can, for example, simulate conveyance conditions in pipelines. A variety of pressure sensor systems, for pressures up to 400 bar and temperatures to 300 °C, is available, as well as a highly chemical-resistant Hastelloy.
-
Micro rheology instrument
The Formulaction Rheolaser is a micro rheology instrument that can be used to measure the rheological properties of materials under zero shear as it measures those properties without any additional applied energy.
-
Extensional rheology system
The SER system is an accessory for the Haake Mars with CTC oven which transforms a rotational shear rheometer in an extensional rheometer for melts and semi-solids.
-
Inline viscometers
The Marimex range of ViscoScopes provides maintenance-free viscosity measurement for inline applications.
-
Flow analysers
The Futura flow analysers reach very low detection limits, while still extending the reporting ranges of results and speeding up the operation by reducing the number of dilutions.
-
UV curing cell
To measure a given sample’s rheological properties before, during and after controlled exposure to UV radiation, a cylindrical UV curing cell has been developed for the Haake Mars, Haake RheoStress 6000 rheometers and the respective predecessor models.
-
Extensional rheology system
The SER system is an accessory for the Haake Mars with CTC oven which transforms a rotational shear rheometer in an extensional rheometer for melts and semi-solids.
-
Tribology cell
A measuring cell has been developed for testing the tribological behaviour of bearing materials with Haake Mars, RheoStress 6000 and other predecessor rheometers with a normal force sensor.
-
Portable weighing scale
The PT250 portable weighing scale is suitable for use in most applications.
-
Rotational viscometer
The Merlin viscometer is a high-performance rotational viscometer capable of both steady shear and yield stress testing in a rugged, compact size.
-
Vibro viscometer
The SV-A series Sine-wave vibro viscometer is a solution to the excessive use of expensive sample fluids during viscosity measurements.
-
Viscosity test cup
An efflux test cup for performing high-viscosity fluid measurements to preset a process controller and validate its operation is being introduced by Norcross.
-
Wet area precision balance
The FX-iWP is a high-precision top pan balance range suitable for use in any area where moisture or dust would prove a barrier to a normal top pan precision balance.
-
Polarimeters
The optical null principle, with automatic rotation of the analyser, is the basis of PerkinElmer’s polarimeters. This principle, combined with microprocessor electronics, results in an instrument which combines high accuracy and precision with simple operation. The operating principle of the Series 341/343 polarimeters ensures accuracy of ±0.02° for optical rotations £1°. The instrument’s automatic gain adjustment and selectable integration times allow users to measure the optical rotation of even stronger absorbing samples with high accuracy.
-
Rheological testing pressure cells
Anton Paar has released a range of pressure cells as an accessory to the MCR Physica Rheometer Series.
-
Multi-sample homogeniser
The Omni Prep multi-sample homogeniser lets users set it and forget it as there is no need to hold a motor, watch the clock, clean the probes, hear the noise, or worry about sample loss or cross contamination.
-
Calorimeter system
The CAL2k calorimeter system consists of: calorimeter, cooler, filling station and the vessel.
-
Automatic density meter
The newly released DDM 2911 has unique features for today's industries.
