The ImageXpress Micro Confocal High-Content Imaging System, from Molecular Devices, is a scalable, high-performance, high-content screening solution that is designed to allow users to capture more data at greater depths for 3D and thick tissue samples. The imaging system can include customised software and hardware, as well as integration of other lab components such as incubators, liquid handlers and robotics for a fully automated work-cell.

Users can scale up automation in order to increase throughput, eliminate human errors, maintain sterility and achieve consistent sample handling. Components can be added in modules and are upgradeable.

Customised optics and light sources can be used to improve image quality, system sensitivity and the ability to image at depth using water immersion objectives. Speed and image quality can be improved with multiple laser upgrade options.

Offering real-time dose response, an automatic pipettor enables compound addition while simultaneously live streaming at >100 fps.

With turnkey high-throughput long-term kinetics, users can schedule and image multiple plates over long periods of time while keeping consistent temperature, O2 (hypoxia), CO2 and humidity conditions. Live cell walk-away capacity can be expanded to 200+ plates; add media exchange for a turnkey high-throughput organoid screening solution.
