MicroBioLogics lyophilised reference stock cultures

MicroBioLogics specialises in producing lyophilised reference stock cultures and enumerated microorganism preparations for quality control laboratories. The company offers more than 750 microorganism strains derived from well-known culture collections from around the world.

Ready-to-use reference stock cultures alleviate labour-intensive processes of preparing, storing and maintaining in-house cultures. Each lyophilised microorganism is no more than four passages from the reference culture and is authentic and traceable.

Products specifically for food testing include: EZ-FPC - enumerated daily food process controls for presence/absence testing and quantitative test methods; and EZ-Spore - enumerated daily process controls for food spoilage detection methods

Other products available from MicroBioLogics include: Lyfo Disk - a lyophilised pellet containing a single microorganism strain; Kwik-Stik - a self-contained unit featuring a single microorganism strain in a lyophilised pellet, a reservoir of hydrating fluid and an inoculating swab; and Kwik-Stik Plus - lyophilised microorganism preparations that are certified as being two passages from the reference culture in the convenient and easy to use Kwik-Stik format.

Additional enumerated microorganism preparations (derived from a reference culture to produce a predetermined assay value) include: EZ-Accu Shot, EZ-CFU, EZ-CFU One Step, EZ-PEC and Epower. Other products include: EZ-COMP Samples - to assess laboratory personnel competence, analyst proficiency and internal proficiency; and Microbiology Quality Control Slides.

All MicroBioLogics lyophilised microorganism preparations are traceable to the reference strain, ship at ambient temperature and have a shelf life of up to 24 months from date of manufacture.
