Bestech Australia Lloyd TA1 Texture Analyser

Tuesday, 04 September, 2012 | Supplied by: Bestech Australia Pty Ltd

The Lloyd TA1 Texture Analyser from Bestech Australia performs rapid and detailed texture analysis for applications requiring up to 1 kN (100 kgf) applied force. Analysing the texture of a product, such as food, cosmetics and packaging, helps to identify paths to improve quality throughout the supply chain and the manufacturing process.

The texture analyser measures the force generated by subjecting the sample to a programmed displacement vs time profile. When combined with the Lloyd NexygenPlus texture analysis software, even the more complex texture tests are programmed and analysed with ease. Parameters including adhesion, chewiness, firmness, hardness, modulus, resilience and stringiness, plus other derivative parameters, are calculated as a standard procedure. Their values can be displayed in user selected formats - graphical and tabular - on the host desktop PC or laptop.

Technical features include: maximum crosshead travel of 500 mm; crosshead speed range of 0.01 to 2032 mm/min; force precision is ±0.5% of 1% of load cell rating; an extensive range of jigs, probes and fixtures; 180 mm throat depth and wide choice of work tables; data sampling rate of 8 kHz; stand-alone, automatic or manual control.

NexygenPlus software features: a large integral library of standard test methods complying with international test standards; intuitive user configurable test facility; video and still image capture for visual analysis; SPC for continuous monitoring of process capability parameters; Microsoft Office integration for seamless transfer of data to Windows packages; test automation and batch testing.
