Sample homogenisation

IKA has presented the Ultra Turrax Tube Drive. The system uses 2–50 mL screwcap tubes which have built-in rotor blades. The tubes are then attached to the base-drive by a simple 'push & twist' locking mechanism.

Different samples can be placed in the individual tubes and homogenised in sequence. This operation avoids the risk of 'cross-contamination' with the additional benefit of not having to clean/decontaminate the homogenising blades between samples.

Tubes are available as 25 per pack in sterile or non-sterile format.

The base-drive unit has a digital display with speed and time controls. Hence, you can be sure that each sample undergoes the same processing conditions every time.
