Amino acid analyser

The Hitachi L8900 series dedicated amino acid analyser boasts refinements for fast analysis with high detection limits. Improvements include new hardware, a more efficient pump and a re-engineered direct injection auto sampler, all complemented by the powerful and user-friendly EZChrom chromatography data system.

Users can fully analyse protein hydrolysates automatically at high speed in 20 mins or in 30 mins using the standard analysis method and achieve a detection limit as low as 3 pmol (for aspartic acid using the ninhydrin reaction method).

Physiological fluid analysis can be achieved in a speedy 110 mins under standard conditions. The system can also be configured for special amino acid analysis, for example amino sugar profiles such as glucosamine and galactosamin in hydrolysates of glycoprotein and single cell protein.

Other features such as leak detectors for each buffer, nitrogen auto purge, expanded 200 sample capacity, auto washing of entire flow path (including separation and reaction columns) and other components set new standards.
