International software designer opens office in Sydney
International developer of technical computing and model-based design software for scientists and engineers, The MathWorks has opened an office in Sydney.
The MathWorks Australia will be responsible for selling and supporting the company's MatLab and Simulink product platforms throughout the country. The company will now offer direct support and services for technical computing and model-based design to the expanding Australian customer base in the aerospace and defence, automotive and financial industries, along with government R&D organizations and academia.
"The Sydney office will provide the Australian engineering and scientific community with easier access to sales, training, and support services and create a direct connection to the established resources of MathWorks 1,400 staff worldwide," said Jeanne O'Keefe, chief financial officer, The MathWorks.
"A presence in Australia also improves The MathWorks ability to support the extensive growth of technical computing and model-based design throughout the Asia Pacific region and underscores the company's commitment to accelerating the pace of engineering and science globally."
The MathWorks also has offices in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, the UK and the US.
