Grace Davison Model 3300 ELSD

Although new to many chromatographers, evaporative light scattering detectors (ELSDs) have been available commercially for more than 20 years. Continuous improvements in design and technology have made the ELSD one of the most powerful tools in a chromatographer’s toolbox.

With its low-nanogram sensitivity, the ELSD has become the preferred method of detection for many difficult samples - carbohydrates, lipids, polymers, surfactants, underivatised fatty and amino acids, pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals.

While ELSD has advantages over other detection methods, it can also be used in combination with UV and MS to maximise the information collected about a sample.

ELSD will show what might be missing from a UV chromatogram, as UV detects only chromophoric compounds.

The Model 3300 ELSD offers high sensitivity and ease of use in a compact footprint designed for busy labs. User friendly, the scrolling chromatogram trace and intuitive software includes a simple step-by-step method wizard guide.
