Kartell heavy-walled carboys and aspirators

Kartell has updated its heavy-walled carboy and aspirator range, to improve performance and renew the design.

Made from high density polyethylene (HDPE), the company has modified the range by increasing the depth of the bottle necks, improving the leak-proof performance. The range can be distinguished by the blue lid and carry handles.

The range complies with FDA standards for use with foodstuffs and the carboys are available in two styles, wide- and narrow-neck.

The wide-necks have a 2 mm HDPE wall and wide mouth for easy filling. The bottles are suitable for liquids or powders and are supplied with an ‘insert plug’ for leak-proofing, and the lids can be wired down for safety. They are available in 5 or 10 L capacities.

The carboy narrow-necks are heavy-walled (2 mm) bottles that can withstand abuse. The supplied ‘insert plug’ and soft seal make the bottles suitable for use as developed pressure vessels.

Featuring carry handles for easy movement, the lids can also be wired down for safety. They are available in 5, 10, 25 or 50 L capacities.

The heavy-duty aspirator bottles are designed for sustained usage, with 2 mm thick HDPE walls. The aspirator range is suitable for use in sub-zero temperatures and is supplied with a ¾″ BSP spigot (art 375), with a 12 mm deep thread for total leak-proof performance. It is recommended that a few drops of vaseline be applied to the spigot thread before assembly for an improved seal.
