Omni Tip Tissue Homogenising Kits are suitable for PCR, DNA and RNA sample preparation. Each kit is supplied with a 7 mm diameter, 95 mm long stainless steel generator probe and 12 disposable probes.

The Omni Tip clear disposable generator probes are available in two forms. A flat probe is suitable for use with liquids or soft tissues and any application where gentle de-aggregation is required. The hard tissue probe with a saw tooth configuration is designed for processing hard and/or frozen tissue. The probes are 7 mm in diameter and are available in a standard length of 110 mm, making them suitable for use in a variety of tubes ranging from micro centrifuge tubes to 50 mL tubes.

The tips are designed to eliminate cross contamination and can either be disposed of after use or reused up to seven times after autoclaving. The probe design ensures sample is not trapped or lost and the simple two-piece construction provides for easy disassembly and cleaning. Stainless steel generator probes are best suited to applications requiring the processing of difficult sample tissues and where cross contamination is not a concern.

The Omni Tip kit also contains the Omni TH handheld homogeniser, designed to process samples from 0.03 mL to 2 L, and an adapter to connect the Omni Tip probes to the homogeniser, plus six soft and hard Omni Tip probes.
