AMG Evos range of high-resolution imaging systems
The Evos range of high-resolution imaging systems from AMG allows users to view, capture and archive images of specimens in various culture vessels and on slides.
The range includes the Evos for transmitted light and phase contrast imaging, the Evos ci specifically designed for stem-cell work and the Evos fl for fluorescent imaging.
The fl design includes three fluorescent channels, a 5-position objective turret, fluorescent and bright field imaging, built-in digital camera, large LCD and glide stage.
The fl uses an EasyCubeLED illumination system for fluorescent illumination. The filter cubes integrate LEDs and high-performance fluorescence filters in a system that delivers precise control, reliability and minimal maintenance. Signal-to-noise and image contrast are claimed to be superior to conventional illumination systems.
In addition, the LED has a lifetime in excess of 50,000 h so will not need replacing during the working life of the microscope, in contrast to a typical fluorescent microscope in which the lamp needs to be replaced and aligned every 200-400 h.
