Fully upgradeable to a fluorescent western blot imaging system, it has been designed to combine the speed and simplicity of film-based detection with the precision, resolution and quantitative capabilities of digital imaging.

The system enables rapid chemiluminescent detection with sensitivity, dynamic range and linearity sufficient for rigorous quantitative blot analysis, replacing traditional darkroom workflows while delivering reproducible results. Digital acquisition provides sensitivity comparable to film while eliminating the associated time and handling challenges: simply place a blot in the system and capture high-quality images with a single click.

The product features an intuitive touchscreen interface that provides complete control over imaging settings, including exposure time, focus, lens aperture, distance to the camera and image overlays. Researchers can use predefined protocols for standard detection methods or create custom protocols tailored to specific experimental requirements. Fluorescent imaging capabilities can be added as research needs evolve; when equipped with the green channel, the Azure 300Q is compatible with total protein stains such as TotalStain Q, AzureRed and Ponceau, which should facilitate accurate normalisation and quantitative analysis.
