EnSight biodiesel analyser

The EnSight biodiesel analyser can be used to monitor reactions, determine total glycerine and profile feedstock oils, all with a single instrument.

The system is claimed to be faster and more reproducible than traditional GC methods with minimal sample preparation required. It can also be used to analyse difficult impurities like sterol glucosides.

The EnSight biodiesel analyser is a liquid chromatograph with an evaporative light scattering detector.

Unlike traditional gas chromatography methods, this device does not require complicated and time-consuming sample preparation.

Total glycerin can be determined in less than 12 min. The method separates mono-, di- and tri-glycerides as single peaks for each compound class, making quantification easy. Sample preparation consists of a simple dilution — no derivatisation is necessary.
