Warsash Scientific has announced the addition of kinetic spectroscopy capabilities to the 20/20 Perfect Vision UV-visible-NIR microspectrophotometer. The product integrates a high-speed spectrophotometer with a UV-visible-NIR range microscope and easy-to-use software. It also features durable design and high spatial resolution and sensitivity.

With the kinetic spectroscopy package, the system is able to monitor the full range spectra of a microscopic sample area over time and plot the results. Analysis of samples can be done by absorbance, reflectance and even optical emission from the deep UV to far into the near-infrared spectral regions, over a range of time periods. Applications are numerous and include biological time-resolved analysis to measuring the degradation of LEDs over time, chemical reactions on metallic films and much more.

The kinetic microspectroscopy feature allows the creation of three dimensional maps in which X and Y are the spectrum and Z is the time domain. The ability to analyse the time-resolved spectra of microscopic sample areas with multiple spectroscopic techniques makes this package a suitable microanalysis tool for any laboratory or manufacturing facility.
