The Cropscan 2000B near infrared transmission analyser is suitable for use by grain processors, flour millers, stock feed manufacturers, oil seed crushers, meal manufacturers and biofuel producers.

It offers a more complete package with sampling devices for grains, powders, slurries and liquids. NIR Technology’s NTAS (near infrared analysis software) suite is now packaged with the Cropscan 2000 spectrometer in order to provide users with all the tools required to develop calibrations for almost any grain-related application.

For the flour milling industry, the Cropscan 2000B is suitable for measuring incoming wheat, flour, meals and in process streams. For the biofuels industry, the Cropscan 2000B can measure incoming grains and oil seeds, fermentation media, distillate, brewer’s grain and biodiesel in the one instrument. While for stock feed manufacturers, the device is suitable for measuring incoming grains, meals, oil seeds and other ingredients.

The system can also be used for process measurements such as wet streams and powders.

For oil seed crushers, the Cropscan 2000B can measure the oil content of the feedstock, the residue oil and protein in the meal, and parameters such as iodine value and peroxide value of the oil.

The flexibility of the sampling devices provided with the analyser enhance its versatility.
