Diagnostic Instruments SPOT RT CMOS imaging camera

Monday, 13 March, 2017 | Supplied by: SciTech Pty Ltd

The SPOT RT CMOS camera from Diagnostic Instruments uses Sony’s Pregius CMOS sensor for high speed and sensitivity. It is optimal for fluorescence microscopy, FISH, FRAP, GFP imaging, immunofluorescence, spinning disk confocal and 3D deconvolution applications.

The camera offers 5 MP live and captured image resolution with 36 fps at full resolution. A back-Illuminated sensor increases sensitivity with 1/8 the read noise and enhanced near-IR, giving high-resolution picture images.

Deep cooling of the image sensor to -20°C allows dim images to be seen without becoming obscured by dark current. A global shutter ensures undistorted images of moving specimens. Connection is via USB3.

Other intrinsic imaging applications include ion transport physiology, electrophysiology, calcium imaging, ratiometrics imaging and voltage-sensitive dyes.
