Filmetrics aRTie spectral reflectometer

aRTie from Filmetrics is an easy-to-use spectral reflectometer. Reference and background steps are not required and it is powered through USB cable - no other connection or set-up are required. The user simply plugs the device into a computer’s USB port, starts the software and it is ready in 10 s. The product’s 40,000 h light source and onboard spectroscopic calibration mean that maintenance is nil and measurement confidence is high.

The product measures in the 380-1050 nm wavelength range. It can be used to measure reflectance (R), transmittance (T), R+T,absorption (=1-R-T) and colour of flat specular samples. Standard analysis tools include plotting of multiple spectra and monitoring of intensity levels, minima/maxima locations, colour and comparisons to target (‘golden’) spectra, all of which can be used to generate unambiguous good/bad readings based on alarm constraints.
