FTIR/FTFIR spectrometer

Thursday, 01 January, 2009 | Supplied by: PerkinElmer (Australia) Pty Ltd

The Spectrum 400 FTIR/FTFIR is a dual-range spectrometer that combines mid-infrared (IR) and far-infrared (FIR) spectroscopy in a single instrument. With automatic beamsplitter changeover, it offers flexible performance for advanced research and industrial laboratories.

The flexibility of the instrument enables switching between a wide range of applications, including time-resolved experiments where changes in a material’s property are examined as a function of time.

The spectrometer features the Dynascan interferometer, which provides reproducible results due to a stable design that does not require dynamic alignment correction. In addition, the Atmospheric Vapor Compensation software removes spectral features that may be caused by water and CO2, and displays compensated spectra in real time.
