Supelco moulded Thermogreen LB-2 GC septa are available in two versions, without and with an injection hole.

Moulded Themogreen LB-2 septa are manufactured from high-quality, low-bleed material using the same exclusive rubber formulation as in the Thermogreen LB-2 septa and they exhibit all the same traits. Conditioned and ready to use, they offer low bleed over a wide range of inlet temperatures (100 to 350°C). The difference is that moulded septa, unlike traditional die cut septa, offer easier installation and also provide a better seal inside the injection port. Because they are moulded, an injection hole can be incorporated into the septa. This injection hole allows needle penetration through the same location, time after time. This helps reduce septa coring, and prevents septa fragments from entering the injection port, while still giving a leak-free injection system.

The high puncture tolerance makes these septa suitable for autosamplers as well as users of solid phase microextraction (SPME).
