The FUSION FX7 is the latest addition to the range of gel documentation systems from Vilber Lourmat, France.
The FUSION FX7 has been specifically designed for demanding applications, including: 1D quantification; 2D gels; multiplexing; biofluorescence; and chemiluminescence, with 12 illumination options.
At the heart of the FX7, is a 'true' 16-bit /4.2 megapixel CCD camera. Through a multistage four peltier cooling system, the camera operates at -67oC, which results in low noise and a dynamic range of 4.8 orders of magnitude. With an extremely bright fixed lens, f0.95 for optimum light collection.
The supplied FUSION-Capt software provides 'user friendly' auto-focus and auto-exposure, together with a 'one touch' fully automatic image acquisition mode. Analysis modules within the software include: molecular weight, quantification, colony counting and RF.
