Dolphin-Doc Plus is a high-performance gel documentation image system suitable for fluorescent DNA and protein gel visualisation.
A compact darkroom with a fully openable door and a UV-transilluminator on a slide-out frame makes the image system user friendly. A 12-bit CCD-camera captures images of high resolution (1.4 megapixel) and high sensitivity.
Several different optional optical filters enables for a wide array of fluorescence applications. Built-in epi-white light illumination as well as optional UV/White light converter plate extends the use of the image system to also cover colorimetric applications.
Image capture and analysis is controlled by Dolphin-1D image system software.
Applications include:
Visualisation/Documentation of:
- Fluorescent DNA-gels stained with eg, SYBR Green/Gold/Safe or ethidium bromide;
- Fluorescent protein gels stained with eg, SYPRO Red/Orange/Tangerine/Ruby;
- Colorimetric gels stained with eg, silver, zinc or coomassie brilliant blue;
- Microtiter plates or bacterial colony plates;
- X-ray films.
