ICP operating cost reduction

Thursday, 17 September, 2009 | Supplied by: Glass Expansion Pty Ltd

Glass Expansion has released the Niagara Plus accessory for ICP-OES and ICP-MS equipment. The Niagara Plus utilises flow injection technology to reduce the laboratory’s environmental footprint, halve the operating costs and double the sample throughput.

The main benefits are: reduced cost of argon and consumables; lower power consumption and less waste to dispose of; analysis time claimed to be typically reduced by 50%; internal standard added automatically; and low carryover - the sample does not contact any peristaltic pump tubing.
