Imaging plate X-ray diffractometer

The Rigaku R-axis HTC imaging plate (IP) detector features a three-plate system that allows for simultaneous expose, erase and readout operations. This means that the duty cycle is limited only by the speed of the IP transport from one position to the next, making the R-AXIS HTC highly efficient for screening samples and suitable for experiments with brief exposure times. It combines the high-throughput capability of a CCD with the large aperture size and dynamic range of an IP.

The system features: a three IP design with 10 s dead time and dual read heads; 20 s read time with a dual lens read head; the same high sensitivity, wide dynamic range and low noise of the R-axis IV++; and full sampling of reciprocal space.

The system also contains a motorised detector sled for easy integration with Actor sample mounting robotics; and enhanced throughput with the Ultimate HomeLab system.

CrystalClear and HKL-2000 both support the R-axis HTC.
