autoflex mass spectrometer

The autoflex, MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry system is designed for ultra high sample throughput. The complete system includes fast, automated analyses, and provides reliability of all system components.

The autoflex includes automated processing of MALDI targets in MTP format. In the standard version, the Twister Microtiter Plate Handler can store and operate 20 Scout MTP MALDI targets and thus feed the autoflex continuously. Using the 1536 MTP format, over 30,000 samples can be processed without operator intervention. Refill or rearrangement of the target stack in the Twister is quick and easy even during analysis.

The Twister smoothly interfaces sample preparation with the mass spectrometer. The microtiter plate format of the SCOUT MTP MALDI targets provides optimum workflow in the laboratory without compatibility problems.

The AnchorChip technology allows for high sensitivity from small sample amounts. The sample spots are homogeneous and have exact positions, which shortens analysis times.

The autoflex is tailored to high throughput applications like automated SNP genotyping; for proteomics applications, the autoflex can be equipped with a reflector and an additional fast option for PSD.

Complete system solutions are also available for proteomics, including the BioTools v 2.0 software for the interpretation of protein data.
