The CX21LED is an educational microscope that incorporates the same advanced UIS2 optics as Olympus’s top-of-the-range microscopes.

Featuring a built-in light emitting diode (LED) with a lifetime of 20,000 h, the CX21LED combines extended, environmentally friendly performance with reduced running costs. And with a mirror unit available as an optional accessory, observations can even be made with no power source.

The CX21LED is designed for long-term use. Eradicating danger of parts loss and minimising risk of breakage during transport, the eyepiece, objectives and condenser are all factory-attached to the body, while the revolving nosepiece is firmly fixed to the wide and rigid arm.

The CX21LED features high-quality LED illumination that makes colour balance more faithful to the specimen at hand and, because the colour temperature of LED illumination remains constant across changes in brightness, colour balance remains stable whatever the desired level of brightness

The CX21LED/CX21 also offer advantageous clarity and contrast, with plan objectives included as standard that ensure sharp focus extending to the periphery of view combining effective anti-fungus treatment to the objectives, eyepieces and observation tube for consistent image clarity and long operation life even in hot humid work conditions.

The rackless stage prevents the possibility of accidental hand injury, while the abrasion-resistant rackless design ensures continuous smooth movement. The mechanical stage and the focus position can be locked, making it easy to refocus when the specimen is changed and avoiding mishap. With the upper stage position locked, there is no chance of the objective accidentally touching the slide and damaging either the specimen or the objective itself.
