Paraytec SDI300 Surface Dissolution Imaging System
The Paraytec SDI300 is a system for pharmaceutical formulators to directly image dissolving from a tablet surface. This enables more complete understanding of the drug behaviour in the body, particularly for sparingly soluble drug types.
It is claimed to be the first tool of its kind to offer quantitative and mechanistic information by directly viewing the volumes immediately above the surface as well as downstream. Both erosion and dissolution can be visualised simultaneously and dissolution rates obtained in less than 20 min, a fraction of the time compared to conventional dissolution systems.
The system enables quantitative imaging of surface phenomena for a diverse range of substances including active pharmaceutical ingredients, formulations, gels, liquids, suspensions, stents and patches.
