Teledyne Photometrics Iris 9 large-field-of-view sCMOS camera
The Teledyne Photometrics Iris 9 Scientific CMOS camera is designed to deliver high-resolution images at high frame rates for live cell microscopy, light sheet microscopy, multicolour fluorescence, high content screening and tiling applications.
The camera incorporates a 9 MP sensor with a 17.8 mm field of view and 4.25 x 4.25 µm pixel area, maximising the number of cells captured in a single frame. The 4.25 μm pixels provide highly detailed images across the imaging plane and allow for Nyquist spatial sampling at 40x magnification.
The camera can capture dynamic cellular events at 30 fps for the full frame and at thousands of frames per second with regions. It also achieves 73% quantum efficiency and low noise levels to maximise dim signal detection and allow for the use of shorter exposure times to minimise cellular photo-damage.
