Scentograph Plus II portable gas chromatograph

Friday, 17 January, 2003 | Supplied by: Gas Analysis Systems Australia Pty Ltd

The Scentograph Plus II portable gas chromatograph features dual detectors, dual sequential column, internal carrier gas and calibration tanks and capillary injection port. Accessories including the dual sampling purge and trap or stack gas sampler allow the instrument to produce laboratory quality results at on-site locations.

VOCs in air, soil or water are quickly and easily analysed with good results. The Scentograph Plus II will analyse VOCs in air, either using an internal pump, or through a stack gas sampler. The instruments will also detect VOCs in water, using a manual purge and trap, or automatic flow-through purge and trap. An input is provided for connection to the SituProbe, for online water monitoring.

Sampling is achieved either automatically through an internal pump or manually through direct injection into a heated injection port. Compound separation is accomplished with the use of a variety of commercially available columns, either packed or capillary. Columns may either be heated isothermally, or ramped to temperatures up to 179°C to create optimum conditions for maximum results.

The Scentograph Plus II is suitable for spot analysis and continuous on-site monitoring, and may be operated unattended, reporting results either on-site or transmitted to a remote location.

When optionally equipped with a heated injection port, the Scentograph Plus II will analyse PCBs and pesticides.
