The SC-CSRS 300 Salt Converter Cation Self-Regenerating Suppressor is an eluent suppressor that can be used in place of a CSRS 300 or CAES cation suppressor in cases where increased sensitivity is required for the determination of ammonium and amines using conductivity detection. The design of the SC-CSRS 300 provides increased backpressure tolerance and maximum leak tolerance. The regenerant sweep-out design provides low noise and fast start-up.

The SC-CSRS 300 should be used for samples with a wide range of ammonium or amine concentrations, and in industries where regulated methods require a linear response. The suppressor converts weakly ionised amines and ammonium the highly ionised MSA form, thus increasing their response and extending the linear range up to three orders of magnitude. A linear response increases the accessory at higher concentrations, requiring fewer standards over the calibration curve. Reduced calibration requirements increase sample throughput for industries with high sample workloads, such as the power generation industry. SC-CSRS 300 suppressors are available in a 4 mm format (for use with 4 and 5 mm columns) and a 2 mm format (for use with 2 and 3 mm columns).
