BEST Lab Instrumentation has announced a range of high-performance, visible and UV visible range spectrophotometers.

The instruments are suitable for teaching, QC and research and have a full range of accessories.

The UV 201 UV visible instrument's optical system features full wavelength scanning over the 190 to 1100 nm range. An in-built LCD shows results, scans and operational parameters as well as allowing easy use of the comprehensive onboard software using a sealed, solvent-resistant keypad.

The standard software allows operation of the instrument in Abs, %T and concentration modes as well as full quantitation, kinetics, multi-wavelength and wavelength scanning. Functions are also included for DNA/protein work as well as wavelength and photometric accuracy validation for GLP compliance. There is also a function for user-defined tests to allow operators to design their own functions.

An optional Windows software package is available for further data manipulation and RS232 communication functions are included. A standard printer output connection allows data to be printed to an Epsom or HP printer directly from the instrument without the need to attach to an external computer.

The UV201 system has good optical specifications, a full range of sample compartment accessories for multi-cell handling, low-volume cuvette work, sample sippers, etc.
