Wine chemistry test kits

Tuesday, 09 June, 2009 | Supplied by: Novasys Group Pty Ltd

Accuvin wine chemistry test kits are small enough to be carried in the pocket and need no sample preparation, glassware or even operator training; just follow the instructions enclosed with every kit.

The test kits are not aimed to replace a well set up chemistry laboratory. The kits put the grapegrower and winemaker in the ballpark of where they want to be. Once there, samples can be analysed in the laboratory to as many decimal places as is required.

Test kits include: pH, titratable acidity, malic acid, L-lactic acid, D-lactic acid, residual sugar and free SO2. Most kits are available in packs of 10 and 20, with L-lactic acid in packs of five and malic acid is also available in packs of 50 and 100.

Shelf life for most kits is now 11 months.

An introductory pack containing five tests each of most tests and three tests of L-lactic acid is also available.

All test kits contain everything required to obtain a result as well as the chemistry behind each test.
