Microstar Laboratories DAP 5000a data acquisition controller

Thursday, 16 June, 2011 | Supplied by: SciTech Pty Ltd

The DAP 5000a data acquisition controller from Microstar Laboratories features Pentium-powered real-time processing under Windows.

Even at maximum sampling rates, the combination of a fast processor with low latency - 0.1 ms task time quantum, allows computation in real time between samples and on-time response for control applications.

It comes with an onboard 233 MHz Intel Pentium processor with 32M of DRAM onboard memory and is compatible with other a-Series boards.

Using a PCI bus for PC-based platforms, data is transferred to the PC at high rates - up to 1666 k samples per second.

The data acquisition controller provides 14-bit A/D converter resolution, samples analog inputs at up to 800 k samples/s, updates analog outputs at up to 833 k samples/s each and has expandable analog and digital inputs/outputs.
