Lonza ProSieve colour protein markers
ProSieve colour protein markers contain sets of proteins and dyes for use as visible markers in SDS-PAGE gels to help monitor the efficiency of separation. In Western blotting they confirm transfer has occurred from the gel to the membrane.
Colour protein marker (10-190 kDa) has nine proteins with MW of 10, 15, 20, 25, 40, 50, 80, 125 and 190 kDa. The marker is labelled with three different fluorescent dyes and supplied as a lyophilised solid with the buffer salts and detergent found in a typical Laemmli buffer system.
uadColour protein marker (4.6-300 kDa) has 12 recombinant highly purified proteins with MW of 4, 6, 10, 15, 25, 40, 55, 70, 100, 140, 170, 250 and 300 kDa. The proteins are individually prestained using four different dyes, producing a brightly coloured ladder with an easy-to-remember pattern.
The markers are ready to use: no heating, further dilution or addition of a reducing agent is required before use.
