Affymetrix USB Prep2Seq DNA Library Prep Kit

For those facilities performing next-generation sequencing (NGS), Affymetrix USB has developed an NGS library prep kit. As DNA library prep is critical to the precision and accuracy of NGS, the company created a kit to produce high-performing, efficient, chimera-free NGS libraries to attain peak performance on the Illumina sequencing platform, with only 100 ng of input needed.

The Prep2Seq DNA Library Prep Kit comes with all reagents necessary for end repair, A-tailing and ligation. The method is highly efficient and can be completed in less than 2 h. The product was formulated with proprietary enzymes, cloning know-how and specialised buffers for an optimised fragment A-tailing step, ensuring end bias is reduced and the formation of blunt- and G-tailed ends is minimised.

Combining the end repair and A-tailing steps, only one clean-up step is needed compared to the two or three steps in most other kits (saving up to 2.5 h in the lab). A streamlined workflow, straightforward protocol and high-performing kit ensure quality library prep for Illumina sequencing runs.
