Amsbio validated cytokines for organoid culture
Amsbio has launched over a range of over 30 independently developed and manufactured organoid culture-related cytokines for researchers working with stem cells and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). The range of cytokines is tailored for and validated in organoid culture, which should result in high compatibility and more controlled and reproducible research.
In a growing number of research areas, organoids have become a key cell culture tool, widely applied in development and disease modelling, precision medicine, toxicology studies, and regenerative medicine. Available cytokines for organoid culture include Activin A, BMP-4, EGF, FGF-4, FGF-10, FGFb, FGF8b, HGF, IGF1, Noggin, R-Spondin 1, Shh and Wnt3a. These cytokines feature endotoxin levels as low as <0.01 EU/μg and are characterised by high activity, high purity and high lot-to-lot consistency.
Supplied as ready-to-use formulations, the products are easy to use, following simple and convenient protocols. Beneficially, each cytokine for organoid culture kit is effective at preserving the structural and genetic characteristics of normal mammalian tissues, maintaining the heterogeneity of the original tissue. Using these products, high-quality organoids can routinely successfully be cultivated within just 4–7 days.
All cytokines supplied by Amsbio have been validated in in vitro models, including human tumour organoids such as pituitary adenoma organoids and breast cancer organoids; human normal organoids such as iPSC-derived intestinal organoids; and mouse normal organoids such as intestinal and pancreas organoids.
