Cayman Chemical offers a comprehensive catalogue of reagents for oxidative stress research, including high-quality free radical scavengers and initiators, antioxidants, isoprostanes, oxidised lipids and assay kits. The company also produces a range of reactive probes and spin traps for the detection and visualisation of oxides and free radicals associated with oxidative and nitrosative stress.

The product offering includes: DMPO — a commonly used spin trap that reacts with O-, N-, S- and C-centred radicals; CYPMPO — a novel spin trap for hydroxyl and superoxide radical detection; PTIO — a spin trap for nitric oxide; BMPO — a cyclic nitrone spin trap that can be used for the detection and characterisation of thiyl radicals, hydroxyl radicals and superoxide anions in vitro or in vivo; MTSSL — a spin label used in site-directed spin labelling, which can be used to study the structural dynamics of proteins; DPPP — a fluorescent probe for the detection of hydroperoxides; DAF-2 diacetate — a cell-permeable fluorescent probe for NO; Dihydrorhodamine 123 — a cell-permeable fluorogenic probe used as an indicator of intracellular peroxynitrite formation; APF — a fluorescent detection reagent for highly reactive radicals; and Dihydroethidium — a fluorescent dye to monitor superoxide production.
