Cayman Chemical single-use polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs)
Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are highly susceptible to oxidative damage when exposed to oxygen, resulting in the generation of peroxide-containing PUFAs. Oxidation of PUFAs can be particularly problematic in samples stored in capped vials for prolonged periods, even at low temperatures.
Cayman Chemical’s peroxide-free fatty acids are packaged in small aliquots in individual, oxygen-free, sealed ampules. The PUFAs are intended for analytical and research applications where absence of oxidised adducts is desired. The single-use, peroxide-free range includes arachidonic acid, docosahexaenoic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid and linoleic acid.
