Clean area control

Dycem Clean-Zone Premier is a high-performance contamination control zone designed to attract, collect and retain foot and wheelborne contamination, preventing particles and microbes from getting into critical areas. Dycem Clean-Zone is available in a range of attractive designs, looks good between wet cleaning and is suitable for light wheeled and heavier pedestrian traffic.

As 80% of contamination entering a critical environment does so on feet or wheels, using Dycem Clean-Zone before all entrances to critical areas can prevent 99% of foot and wheelborne contaminants from ever entering the critical area.

Applications include: pharmaceutical manufacture, aerospace, semiconductor, CDs and DVDs, biomedical, research laboratories, fibre optics, computer rooms, optical, automotive, printing, biotech, microelectronics, packaging and food and beverage processing.

Effective decontamination needs at least six footfalls, three for each foot, or three full wheel rotations. Dycem Clean-Zone systems are sized to allow for full decontamination whatever the traffic flow. The soft supple surface conforms to the shoe or wheel allowing contact with smaller particles that would otherwise be bridged by larger particles. This also allows for dense packing of particles so that the surface remains effective even after continuous overstrikes in the same area.

The smooth surface of Dycem’s Clean-Zone creates a natural tack and high degree of short-range electromagnetic forces. This enables it to attract, collect and retain over 99% of particles ranging in size from over 100 to less than 0.2 micron. The contamination is held on the surface until cleaned off.

Clean-Zone is quick and easy to clean and cleaning can be incorporated into the regular wet cleaning schedule.

Clean-Zone contains an integral anti-microbial additive, BioMaster, and has been successfully tested against 50 common organisms including Salmonella, E. Coli, Listeria, Campylobacter, Pseudomonas, A. Niger and algae.

Installation is easy and once installed, Clean-Zone is a totally sealed system. No moisture, contamination or bacteria can get underneath. The thin but strong low-profile floor covering is easy for carts, trolleys and all traffic to negotiate.
