Echelon Biosciences’ ionisable lipids are the key components of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and have garnered intense interest due to their successful use in mRNA-based vaccines and other genetic therapies. Ionisable lipids can modulate their charge depending on the pH of their environment and are essential for LNPs’ endosomal escape and nucleic acid cytosolic delivery.

Echelon Biosciences’ range of ionisable lipids include 1-A-N, YSK05, 4A3-SC8, C12-200, 9A1P9, Lipid 5, SM-102, DLin-MC3-DMA, ALC-0315 and cKK-E12. The range is distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Sapphire Bioscience.
