Harvard Apparatus Artificial Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF)

Thursday, 07 October, 2010 | Supplied by: SDR Scientific

Harvard Apparatus Artificial Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) is claimed to closely match the electrolyte concentrations and osmolality found in authentic cerebrospinal fluid.

The product can be used as a sterile diluent or flushing fluid for delivery of molecules into the brain. It can also be used when sampling brain interstitial fluid. It is suitable for use as a general infusate or perfusate, when it is essential for fluid to be identical in composition to native CSF.

Prepared with high-purity water and analytical grade chemicals, artificial CSF is supplied in convenient, sterile 25 mL aliquots.
