Jena Bioscience DBCO-containing click chemistry reagents

Jena Bioscience offers a range of dibenzocyclooctyne (DBCO)-containing fluorescent dyes which can be used for the fluorescent labelling of Azide-tagged biomolecules via Cu(I)-free strain-promoted Alkyne-Azide Click Chemistry (SPAAC). Both standard dyes (eg, Cy3, Tamra or Texas Red) and novel alternative dyes have been thoroughly selected to cover the whole UV-Vis spectrum.

DBCO-based reagents combine high reactivity with sufficient hydrophilicity and thus allow low background labelling of Azide-functionalised molecules with even greater efficiency than CuAAC reactions. Azide–DBCO reactions are furthermore highly selective and therefore suitable for dual labelling approaches with tetrazine–trans-cyclooctene ligation.

Jena Bioscience’s DBCO-containing click chemistry reagents are distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Sapphire Bioscience.
