Apura, the latest generation of reagents from Merck, can be used for all Karl Fischer applications.
The reagents contain no toxic components and if this is not possible they are limited to a minimum, ensuring that end-point titrations are much faster with the end point of titration clear and easy to see.
There is a wide variety of reagents for every Karl Fischer application including: one component reagents; two component reagents; both volumetric and coulometric reagents; reagents (non-toxic) for aldehydes and ketones; solvents for fats and oils; water standards in ampoules for coulometric and volumetric applications; solid standards for the oven method can be used at temperatures between 140 and 400°C; water standards for oil samples (15-30 ppm); buffer solutions for strong acids and bases.
